Fitness for Your Forties and Fifties

Come join us for one hour of low-impact fat-burning cardio, strength building, and stretching.

This program has been specially designed to help boost your metabolism and prevent chronic problems like osteoporosis. All tools learned in class can be translated into a complete home program to keep yourself on pace for a healthy future.

Classes are held on the first Tuesday and third Thursdays of each month in 2010.

Join us for one or all of the sessions:

Each class is offered for a suggested donation of $5.

Chiropractor and group exercise instructor, Morgan Baker, will lead the class with energy and safety tips to ensure that you get the most out of your workout. Please wear loose-fitting clothing and tennis shoes.

Happy Hearts: No Medication Necessary

Tuesday, February 9, 2010, 7pm

February is American Heart Month, and we'd like you to join us in celebrating the occasion with an informative and entertaining lecture on keeping your heart healthy.

This class will include an overview of most heart conditions, while focusing on lowering blood pressure and blood lipids (cholesterol and triglycerides) without medications.

Class begins at 7pm and will last approximately 1 hour. Heart healthy snacks will be served.
Bring someone you care about--your heart will thank you!


Registration fee: $10; Door prizes for the first 10 registrants.

Who: Open to anyone looking to get more active and share fun conversations about health and other topics with like-minded people.

Wellness Boot Camp


When: Saturday, February 20, 2010, 9am-5pm

Join us for a day of intensive and fun activities that will give you all the tools you need to kick-start a healthier lifestyle. New Year's resolutions are just around the corner, and this is the perfect time to sign up. Bring a friend along or go solo.

The day includes:
a basic fitness class, covering essential strength and aerobic guidelines,
♦ a healthy cooking demonstration, including tips on taking a healthy diet home,
♦ psychological tactics for making new habits stick,and much more!

The Wellness Boot Camp incorporates a holistic approach that is designed for those who are ready for a healthier and more fulfilling tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you!

Running 101


Ready to pick up the pace in your workouts? This class is for you!
Designed with beginners in mind, this series is packed full of helpful tips on nutrition, injury prevention, and other basics no runner can do without. This class is made up of both 'learning' AND 'doing' components, so bring your running gear and get ready to sweat!

When: Saturday, April 24, 2010, 9am-4pm

Where: Aslan Institute

Cost: $25 (cash, check, or credit)

Physioball Basics

When: To be determined - stay tuned!

Where: Aslan Chiropractic Center's Narnia Room (downstairs)

How much: $5

Who: Everyone + a friend, specifically those who would like to find a low-impact workout to build strength and fine tune balance

BENEFITS TO YOU:

Physioball: Beyond the Basics

Who: This class is perfect for people of all ages who would like to build muscle tone and have fun at the same time! Exercises for the whole body will be introduced during this one hour class. In addition to the physioball, light weights will also be used. Some familiarity with a physioball is recommended, but not necessary.
